I blog because I need an outlet for creativity. I’ve always loved writing, but never knew how to use it. Staying at how now that I have moved to the burbs with two little boys has driven me to find this outlet.

I just started blogging. Ive been thinking about it forever, but I have been in the process of moving and just had my second child. Now that I am officially a stay at home mom in the burbs, it has become my outlet.

Life, my boys, recipes, crafts, and organization. I’m Martha Stewart for the every-day mom.

I try to fit in at least an hour, bu sometimes more when I’m writing. Also, depends on kids and husband’s need to interrupt.

My kids and my life.

I use to own a baby boutique. Then I closed the boutique and ran it as an online shop. I closed the shop this passed summer when we moved and had a baby in September. Ready to just be a mom for a while.

I’ve learned that through the baby crying, Preschooler’s screams, and husband’s nagging, I too have a voice and this is my way of speaking without interruption and hopefully getting heard.

I blog for various reasons. I am a work from home mom so socialization is important to me, this way I can still socialize with other women/moms and continue to work and be at home with my kids. Another reason is to try to keep a record of life so I can look back and remember all the little things that are so easy to forget. Oh, and of course, to help promote my side businesses!

I have been blogging here and there for about the last 3 years. None of them have really stuck with me but I also didn’t really know what I was doing or why. I am trying to focus on this more now and have more of a plan of action this time around.

Whatever comes to mind! Funny things my kids do or say. Life’s problems. My art/craft business ideas. And hopefully I will be blogging about product reviews in the future as well.

There are SO many of them and each is so creative and interesting. It is really hard to pick just a few. A couple of them that I do follow are Mommy made from Scratch and Notes from the Trenches.

I still consider myself a newbie so I’m not sure there is a lot of advice I can provide! I guess, just keep working on it, don’t get discouraged if you don’t get a lot of traffic initially. Do a little bit when you can, blogging and then reach out to other mom blog websites and forums to help bring in more traffic.

Usually on my laptop after the kids go to bed, on the couch while my husband sits next to me and watches TV. It’s our couple time…exciting, I know.

It’s easy to read all day if you let yourself! Probably 2-3 hours a day sometimes. I can’t do it every single day though or my house wouldn’t get clean, my art/craft business wouldn’t get any attention and I wouldn’t be able to work at my nursing job (which would be fine with me if I could afford it)!

Can’t remember that one either. My memory is really bad after having kids!

Other successful mom bloggers or mom business owners. I think it is so inspiring to see what women can come up with and succeed in.

I have been encouraged reading others blogs and the success some of them have obtained as well as the ideas that they give to help me with various areas of my life.

I started this past August (2011). I am very new to it all.

Inspiring moms to take excellent care of themselves as they mother. I truly believe that as a mom, if I fill myself up and live my most authentic life, I am a much better mom to my three young daughters. Not to mention, I model for them how to be happy, content, and achieve their deepest desires. I want other moms to understand how important this is as well.

Just start. Don’t think about it too much or expect perfection from yourself. Jump in feet first, and the work will teach you.

I blog about book reviews, recipes, kitchen tips, frugal ideas, crafts, some of my thoughts, bible verses, dumpster diving finds, and organization tips.

Blogging can overtake your life. Getting mine started was way too time consuming for my liking. Slowly I keep changing it to get it where I want it. My philosophy for blogging, and life, would be to remember that everything doesn’t have to be completed all at once.
