I blog for the purpose of keeping an online journal, but also because I hope I can glorify the Lord by sharing the joys of a large family.
I hope I can encourage young mothers who aspire to have large families. It’s a huge amount of work early on, when everyone is under 3 feet tall. But it does get easier, and the rewards are so worthwhile!

I’ve only been blogging for a year, but I love it! I feel like I have met a whole new circle of friends out there in the web.

I blog about whatever is on my mind: fun and funny things that happen in our home; important events; our own solutions, experiences and ideas that readers may find helpful; and child-rearing advice. I welcome readers’ input on every post!

I love to read humorous and inspirational blogs by other moms: The Common Room, Biblical Womanhood and many others.

Blogging is addictive. If you find that you enjoy it, you might also find yourself in a constant struggle to limit the time you spend on it. Now don’t say nobody warned you.

I love hearing from others, whether or not they agree with me! Nobody is perfect, so let’s let iron sharpen iron. Just talk nicely to each other.

Yes, and it keeps me honest. It’s so funny when real friends and family hear our news through my blog then we talk about it in real life. I sometimes feel like two separate people: the real me and the virtual me. It makes me laugh when the two of us meet, if you know what I mean!
I have met several internet people in real life now and we laugh at how one can be on a first name basis and know all about a person’s home life without ever laying eyes on them!

Besides my personal blog, Life in a Shoe, I also have a blog for reviewing products and sharing great deals. I call it Shoelaces: products we love!
I spend way too much time reading and writing blogs. I’m always trying to cut back, but it’s just too much fun, like eating chocolate. We talk about stopping, but who really wants to give it up?
