I blog to stay sane although I know there are some who would question my methods.

But in all seriousness it’s become a great way to document our family’s life as well as my struggling writing career. It’s also served to cultivate a supportive community of commenters.

June of 2009.

Honestly? All kinds of random crap. From picking up chihuahua feces to writing imaginary letters to Whole Foods, my blog is a mish mash of my daily life. I do find that there’s a common thread: my posts tend to be funny. At least they try to be.

Set goals, keep a notebook and google is your friend.

I love to chat with visitors. In fact I’m sometimes worried people get sick of me with the number of times I comment on my own posts!

Yes, my parents, husband, grandmother and pretty much all of my friends read my blog. Which means I have to play nice.

I’m part of several networks: 20 something bloggers, Corpus Christi Bloggers, the Theta Mom community, Blogher, the SITS girls, Mom Bloggers Club and a few others.

I blog at home on my couch in a pair of comfy yoga pants and with my mug of green tea on the end table.

Too much! I’d say at least two to three hours a day although not consecutively.

I’m a member of Technorati and several sites like this but I don’t usually use them to find new blogs.

I first heard of blogging through Facebook.

Single Infertile Female is the first blog I remember reading and I still read her blog today!

My fears, sadness, depression, my gorgeous daughter my great husband and crazy pups. A lot of things inspire me.

I started Corpus Christi Bloggers at http://www.ccbloggers.ning.com.

Blogging has made me more confident in my writing abilities and has encouraged me to publish a novel.

I’ve also learned that there’s more to the story than people may let on and not to judge others too quickly. In that regard, I think it’s made me a kinder human being.
