Interview with Mamapumpkin from “A Mother’s Monologue”
“A Mother’s Monologue”

I blog to keep my brain working, to release my thoughts and rants, to share positive information with the world, to share updates with friends and family abroad, to ask for help, to have adult interaction and to do something else apart from talking to and caring for kids all day long!

When I really, REALLY needed some adult interaction and wasn’t getting any in the real world.

Generally, I blog about my girls but my blog is quite versatile (meaning I expel whatever comes to mind), and I have many silent male readers too, as they find it entertaining to some extent and I have information about places, experiences and what not. I try to help people as much as possible……..and of course, I get a lot of help in return. It works both ways.

I like Metrodad and Mamatulip. The ‘M’ family and aspire that one day (even if 10 years from now), someone else would say that about my blog. *wishful thinking*

Yes! To keep writing….and never give up. Just keep writing……….

Absolutely! But now that I have a new baby girl, it has become REALLY tough. I only answer now to comments when I have something else useful back to say. Like if someone asked for a phone number or you know, information. I wish I could say thank you to every single comment that says ‘your girls are gorgeous’ but that would be impractical. So I try to say thank you on my blog regularly so readers know I am truly grateful that they visit.

Yes…..and that is scary because I know some read and are not telling me that they read. Not that I have anything to hide, as I am pretty much an open book but sometimes, just sometimes, I really need to bitch about that aunty who was just so rude and ridiculous!

Not really. I am on facebook sometimes with some groups but that’s about it. Not till my baby, Tia (now 7 months) is older and more independent.

I blog from home usually after the girls are in bed. I used to be out and about with my laptop for a change of scenery when I only had ONE child. Now I have TWO……and that becomes a challenge.

I read every night in the wee hours of the mornings for about 2 hours per day. Writing used to be everyday but now, at worse, once a week.

Absolutely! Technorati and Mr G.

When a family member introduced me to one about a young parent writing stories about their new child and I thought, hey…..this is really interesting that they are sharing this with me. A year later, I was hooked and wanted to share the same with others.

Gosh…..I can’t remember now the exact name of it but it was that same parenting blog as above.

People who achieve the impossible. MOTHERS who achieve the impossible!!!

Yeah….a series of others which I have failed to maintain. One day…..one day…..one day…..when the girls are older!

I think blogging is the best thing that has happened because the world is getting closer and mothers are getting closer. It’s our little shared community and we are all learning from each other every single day. I love it when I read something that requires me to think, another perspective. I love inspiring stories. I love it when people offer me new insight on my blog when I write about something with a strong view. It’s one huge debate. And yet it’s not. It’s a sharing session. It’s therapeutic. I’ve made some great friends from all over the world.
