I started blogging as a way of keeping in touch with my friends and family who live far away. It started as a collection of pictures and stories of the kids and later became more of a personal discussion of our victories and struggles in dealing with the challenges of raising a special needs child and a typical child. I blog because I want to share our experiences in the hopes that it may help others who are dealing with similar situations.

I love comments! I love to chat with visitors, answer their questions and hear their insights.

Most of my family read my blog. My mom and my sisters are my number one fans. Many of my friends read it as well. It always humbles me to know that people may be inspired by some of our stories and victories.

The first blog I ever read was by one of my cousins, Ken. He wrote about his wife’s battle and victory over breast cancer. You can share their victory at http://danielasupdates.blogspot.com/. Their story put my life in perspective and moved me so much that it inspired me to write my own story.

Blogging has changed my life. As I put my feelings, struggles, challenges and victories into words, I can get a fuller understanding of my life. Blogging is a release on tough days and a joyous experience on others. I have been inspired by other bloggers and hope that my blog can help others who may be going through similar situations.
