I started noticing that there where questions about cooking, cleaning and laundry that came up on a regular basis that I didn’t know the answer to, so I decided to start a blog in which I answered the questions as they came up for myself and hoped it would help other women as well. I wanted to provide a place for all women, but in particular, new wives/ mothers like myself who are still learning how to be a homemaker.

I got off to a very slow start when “Mr. Gobbler”- my blog nickname for the man in my life- was gone a lot during Turkey season last March. It wasn’t until November 2009 that I really got going with it though.

I love the opportunity to hear people’s feedback and even end some posts by asking for people’s input or advice.

My mother is an avid reader, which is a little odd. The person I am with my mother and the person I am with my friends is different. I am a more intimate person with my friends and I blog like I am having a conversation with a friend. My best friend lives 400 miles away and is another avid reader. In a weird way, I feel like the blog helps keep us in touch.

I blog from home at random times. Sometimes throughout the day and other times I will get busy and not have a chance until late at night.
