Confessions Of A Homeschooler

I love to share and glean ideas and information from homeschooling mom’s all around the world! I try to do my part to contribute to that through my blog Confessions of a Homeschooler! My blog also serves as a type of scrapbook or memory keeper for our homeschooling journey.

I started blogging in August 2009 when we started our homeschooling year. It started as a way to keep my husband updated on what we do all day long and quickly changed into a sharing of ideas with the homeschooling community!

My most popular posts are the preschool Letter Of The Week curriculum where I share free printables, downloads, game ideas and more for each letter of the alphabet.

I’m also schooling a second grader and kindergartner, so I share what they’re learning as well as educational games and ideas to aid in their learning process.

There are tons of tutorials and ideas online on how to blog, and how to get your blog set up and looking pretty! One piece of advice I would give is to get your blog looking the way you want BEFORE you start posting. Its much easier to move things around, while it’s still blank than after you’ve done say 100 posts!

Yes, I do my best to reply to comments as well as emails from my blogger friends, I’ve made some great online friendships through the blogging community!

Yes, they do!

I blog daily at Confessions of a Homeschooler

Ugh, way too much! LOL!

Yes, I use Technorati typically. I am listed there as well.

Well, I started in 2006, but wasn’t consistent with it, nor did I have a good subject matter to blog about, so I can’t recall for sure, I most likely heard about it from the internet and reading other peoples blogs.

Other moms, there are so many wonderful mom’s out there who are freely sharing their ideas and struggles, really helps you know that we’re not alone in this journey!

I write a monthly article called “The Crafty Corner” at Totally Tots

It has helped keep me accountable in my own homeschooling as well as helped make some great friendships with other homeschooling moms around the world!
