I blog to connect with other business women and moms who face some of the same challenges I do, and to find inspiration.

I am a new blogger! I just started this year and am hooked.

I love passing on great gift ideas I come across on Etsy, my own jewelry creations, and a few highlights of my family’s week.

Unique Women in Business, Things a Boutique Owner Sees, Aspiring Couture, My Mother’s Garden, Emmaline Bride handmade wedding, Etsy Kids, Life and Times, to name just a few!

Blog as often as you can, but keep it interesting and relevant to your own message. Commenting on others blogs to helps them become more popular, and in turn, you may gain more followers.

Yes, although I don’t have as much time as I’d like to do that. I love it when others comment on my work, it just really makes my whole day to see a positive comment!

Yes, several friends read. My family keeps in touch in other ways, but a few family members do read my blog too.

Not really. I just don’t have the time right now.

Usually I blog on my day off from my job and late evenings. I’d rather be creating jewelry than blogging about it
Right now, I am so hooked on Twitter and Facebook fan pages too! At times, these methods offer more “instant gratification” than blogging.

I’d say about a half hour to an hour per day. There will be times when I am very quiet, and take a break from blogging, and other times I go through a very creative streak and feel like blogging all the time.

Usually I find interesting blogs by checking out other blogs followers that I am interested in. I’ve gotten to know several other crafters and jewelry artists better through blogs.

A good friend of mine has a family blog and her sister started a charity website and blog as well. I became a follower of both and my interest really grew from there.

I’m pretty sure it was my friend’s family blog. She lives far away, and it became a great way to stay in touch.

Oh Everything! Networking with other creative women, sharing advice with a few groups online, viewing others artwork, being a mom in general – you can gain a new perspective of life just watching a small child discovering the world on a daily basis.

Yes, I have a shop on Etsy at http://freshmetal.etsy.com

I’ve learned more discipline and time management, and have absorbed so much great advice about having your own business from other women and their blogs. The possibilities to network is just unreal right now, if you just spend a little time looking, it can really open up your world and knowledge!
