I enjoy sharing the information I have learned over the years, and also hearing from others who are interested in the same topics I am.

In late 2008.

I blog about household management, and all the subjects that relate to that, which basically encompasses all of life. Therefore, I have blogged about topics that vary across the spectrum from instructional posts on how to clean things to theoretical posts about instilling the reading habit in your kids.

Simple Mom is probably my favorite. She is a real inspiration.
In addition, I like Penelope Trunk’s the Brazen Careerist and Steve Pavlina.
I like to get ideas from blogs that aren’t necessarily about family life and home management, but instead about productivity or personal development, and then apply them to household management. That is a lot of fun, and gives a new perspective I believe.

Even if you fall off the horse, so to speak (by getting out of the habit of blogging), if you enjoyed it get back on and try again. Life happens. I should know — that is what I blog about, and sometimes things get really hectic. You can always pick back up where you left off and begin again.

I use a platform, SBI, that posts many of my thoughts through articles, and doesn’t have a comments feature. I do have a way for people to submit thoughts to me though, through both comments directly to me, and also by posting tips and ideas about various subjects that then anyone can comment on. If someone sends me a comment directly, I try to make a point of responding to them. In addition, I love to read the comments people post to the submissions of my readers, and I sometime post my own comments too.

I think so. They say they do anyway!

I used to blog or at least work on blog posts almost daily, but I recently got a new job and have been mainly silent the last little bit. I hope to get back into it now that I am getting more in the flow of the new job, because I really missed writing.

Since I have started the new job I haven’t been able to read and write as much as I used to, but I am slowly getting back into some of my favorite old blogs.

My family inspires me. I get such joy from them, and even when I am not with them I always get motivated by thinking that what I do, I do for them. That is especially helpful at work sometimes when I am a bit overwhelmed or tired. I think — I am doing this for my kids, and it makes it better.

Not at this time.

I have learned so much more since I started blogging myself, versus just reading other people’s blogs and commenting on them. When you really talk about a subject in depth yourself, and really think about things hard, I find that I get a lot more insight and ideas.
In addition, I really enjoy hearing other people’s comments and ideas related to the subjects I am interested in. It helps keep me thinking of the subject in new and various ways and perspectives, which is great.
