God teaches me so much through my children and my mistakes and weaknesses … I love to write and I have a heart for women, especially young moms. I believe that blogging is fun and healing for me and hopefully healting and encouraging to other moms who are in the parenting trenches.

I have been writing for Christian magazines on parenting and family issues, such as Focus on the Family publications for a while now, but I just started my blog this month, May 2009. I’m also a regular contributor to a webzine called A Time to Love (http://www.atimetolovemag.com).

I blog about my experiences as parents … focusing mostly on my weaknesses and how God grows me through them. I’m able to mine a lot of humor from my own flaws and love to impart the wisdom God gives me through my children.

I love the Stretch Marks blog (http://www.stretchmarksblog.com) and Because I Said So (http://www.becauseisaidso.com). They have my kind of quirky humor.

I love to chat with visitors! To me, the whole purpose of blogging is community.

Yes, I have quite a few friends who read my blog http://www.parentingconfessions.com and send me feedback emails, even if they don’t comment on the blog.

I write a lot of my blog posts in the parent pickup line, at soccer practice, wherever and whenever I have a few moments. Inspiration can come at warp speed, so I always have a notebook handy.
