“Under Grace & Over Coffee”

I started blogging to keep my family up to date on my kids, but discovered that they weren’t reading it! As I found my way through blogging, I discovered a passion to share the things God has been teaching me. So while I do like to have fun and be silly some days, such as my Friday Caffeinated Randomness meme, I also share my struggles and triumphs as God helps me to learn what life is really about.

I started blogging three years ago – Under Grace & Over Coffee is my third blog and will be a year old in August 2009. It is by far my favourite!

Some days are pretty random! On the whole I talk about the things God is teaching me as I learn to surrender every aspect of my life to Him, my struggles with accepting my true beauty, my love of coffee, books I’ve read, coffee, and sometimes my kids. Did I mention coffee? I have to admit that most days I do not have a set idea in my head of what I am going to write about – some days I surprise even myself!

Be yourself! My favourite blogs are written by women (and men!) who are true to their personality, who are authentic. Not everyone is gifted in the same way, just like not every one writes in the same way or even about the same things. Find your voice – I tend to write how I would talk, while others write more formally. Either way is good, as long as you are being true to who God made you to be.

Yes! I love receiving comments and meeting new people through them! The community built through blogging is one of my favourite aspects of it.
