All My Loose Ends

I’ve actually been blogging, privately, since 2004 and have maintained my own website since 2000. Journaling and blogging is something I’m passionate about and I love the blog community and the inspiration and fellowship it offers.

My current blog is less than a year old, but I’ve been blogging since 2004.

I blog about various topics, usually related to homemaking and parenting. My favorite topics are photography, sewing, cooking and day to day life with a pre-teen and a toddler.

I love Weewonderfuls.com, soulemama.com and gobs others. I love discovering new, favorite blogs. Another favorite, well done blog is lifeinforsyth.blogspot.com I love how she writes an interesting, informative local blog.

Use pictures, proof read and mostly, blog about what you’re passionate about. People will prefer to read a well written, passionate article about something you love than something bland on a topic you feel like you have to write about.

I love to receive comments and help/answer whatever questions I can.

This current blog is separate from the family blog/website I maintain. I have nothing to hide, but I made the switch in direction to maintain some privacy. They can read about our lives in detail (with our full names) elsewhere.

I am most active on meetup.com, a great resource for moms!

I normally blog at home, whenever the mood strikes me.

A few hours. Blogging/reading blogs is one of my passions, so I devote some precious nap time freedom to it a few times a week.

I typically don’t use search engines. I find that blogs are a network in and of themselves. If I enjoy reading a blog, I check out they people THEY enjoy reading and normally, I find a new favorite.

I was a member of the knitting blog community when I first started blogging. I’m pretty sure I came upon blogs searching for patterns or advice and it went from there.

Goodness, I don’t remember. I’m sure it was knitting related, though.

What doesn’t inspire me? My kids inspire me, the weather, books, media, current events.

Sure do.

I think the most important things blogging has taught me is that everyone has a story to tell. Myself included. I’ve always been interesting in writing and blogging seems like a worthwhile pursuit. I’m often influenced by other bloggers to try new things.
