I blog for a few reasons. First, it gives me a place to not only hold myself accountable, but a place where I can look back over time and see how much progress I’ve made, how much I’ve learned, and how much I’ve shared.

I started blogging in 2003, when I was ready for some changes in my life. I wrote on Live Journal and shared with friends only. in 2007, I started reading personal finance blogs. The first one was Get Rich Slowly and from there, I wandered all over the net. I link hopped for hours a day, realizing that I’d found my passion. In January of this year, I took the plunge and started writing my own household finance blog.

I blog about Household Finance and everything that goes with it.

There is a very long list! Here are three that I read without fail every single day.
I’ve Paid For This Twice Already
Being Frugal
Bible Money Matters

Don’t write for the subscriber numbers or page hits. Write what flows from you, and the people who identify with it will come.

Sometimes. If it’s a good comment that makes me think, absolutely.

Yes, quite a few of them.

I blog during my free time, whether that be at home, at work on my breaks, or anywhere else that I have some time and an idea strikes.

2 to 4 hours

I use StumbleUpon

All of my friends had Livejournal accounts and told me that if I wanted to keep up with the most recent happenings, I should create one too.

Seeing so many people like me, moms who work hard and have families, struggling to make ends meet. It makes me think of ways to help them make their money lives easier to deal with.

I’ve learned more about personal finance, and that being frugal isn’t about deprivation. Our family has become more fulfilled on less consumables than we ever were before. My friends who follow my blog have made financial changes in their lives. I’ve even gotten business for finance coaching by word of mouth.
