God's Handiwork

Started out blogging so that Sarah’s birthfamily could have a look into our day to day lives. Now do it for family and friends who are not close and to journal our daily lives to eventually put in the kids baby books.

January 2008

Our day to day life with a typical son and a typical daughter who happens to have Down syndrome. We want her to live her life and the Down syndrome to not be a defining point of her life. I blog about the good, bad, and ugly of life.

Just be yourself. I think of my blogging like a journal. It is free therapy!

Yes. I will always answer question or comment to comments that need further information.

Yes, we have a neice in Indiana that reads our blog daily. Other family members and friends read often. Sarah’s therapist also read the blog on a regular basis.

I blog when I get a chance at home. I generally start a blog in the morning and work on it on and off throughout the day until it is ready and then post. I do not post everyday, but I try to post 3-4 times a week.

Wow, that would depend on the day and week. It differs based on my mood, my kids moods, and the housework! I probably spend over an hour a day online. That is probably a low estimate. I turn the computer on in the morning and I grab a minute here and there.

I really don’t remember. I know when we adopted Sarah the birthfamily mentioned having a webpage for Sarah and my blogging developed from there.

Probably one from the people at downsyn.

Looking at life through the blessings that God has given me. So much of my life is a blessing and I am amazed when I look back at my life and I see God’s handprint in it all. God’s Handiwork. My blog is love notes to my family.

No, but my husband has a website for a book of poetry that he wrote. There is several poems that he has written for our family. One for our wedding day, our son, and our daughter.

Blogging helps me to put my life into perspective. I am always grabbing the camera to catch things so I can blog about it, so our life is journaled. We will always have a history of our life to look back on. I love to reread my entries and remember the moment.
